While we are waiting for the next series by Baran Bo Odar and Jantje Friese, Steve and I want to talk about the early movies made by our favorite perfect match. We recorded a live discussion about this movie.

WHO AM I: NO SYSTEM IS SAFE (Kein System ist Sicher) was released in 2014 and was the second narrative feature directed by Baran Bo Odar. Steve and I talk about the history of development, how the movie is the same and different to Dark, and what the public's reception to the movie was.

This FB live was recorded on May 20, 2024 and contains segments where we interact with a live audience.

Movie description: In Berlin, Benjamin Engel sits in an interrogation room, waiting to meet Hanne Lindberg, Head of Cyber Division of Europol. He claims to have information about a criminal organization of hackers named FR13NDS, a notorious hacking group of four members connected to the Russian cyber mafia, and MRX, an infamous hacker known on Darknet; If she wants to catch them, she needs to listen to his story.

Steve Barnes is guitarist for stoner metal band Introvoid, and also plays guitar for the cover band Rebecca Crow. All of Steve's stuff can be found at Sweetchildoftime.com.

Lindsey Dunn is a film critic with membership in both NC Film Critics and Southeastern Film Critics. She loves all things Cobra Kai, Netflix Dark, indie horror, and any stories about complicated relationships. You can find her at 1ofmystories.com and most social channels @1ofmystories.

By the way, here is the terrible press conference I mentioned in the live.
